Commissioned by Granada Motorways, under the 'Percent for Art' scheme, this panoramic view of Sheffield City Centre measures 1.5m by 13.5m. I found a method of producing painterly marks in a free, loose way on steel. These marks were dry etched and then the panels were inked up as if they were etching plates.
"The Sheffield Mural" project involved sensitive negotiations with representatives from Granada to secure continued funding. I worked to tight deadlines and learned a great deal from working with a large business.
