some current music projects
I joined
Good Noise Bad Noise during last summer. John Hall (I played sax in The Big Pants with him a lifetime ago) and Shaun Blezard
manipulate samples live on their laptops, while Dan projects live images. I play violin through fx pedals on top of this. It is
improvised music. I didn't even get a rehearsal before the first gig. More details at the MySpace site.
Lyn Hodnett has joined me to form a heavy blues duo. We set up the group to see if we could do rauncy blues numbers without guitars.
Lyn sings and plays kazoo and percussion. I play violin and Uke. These are our own arrangements of some great and some not so
great classics. I'll put some music up when we have recorded some.
Jazz Photos A site I made for my dad, Derek Woodall, and his collection of photographs of Jazz musicians in North
East Lancashire taken in the 'seventies and 'eighties.
Part one of a five part piano piece November Piano.
This was created without ever touching a piano keyboard. The notes were put onto the staves using a mouse in my
XGworks software. I must get a little hand on this watch.
A very slow version of a classic bebop improvisation with a great deal of echo on the violin,
Slow.
A big band sound that soon degenerates into chaos, Eventually.
